Computer Science

Qualifying round

Test 1: 5 January – 15 February 2017, test duration - 4 hours, about 10 problems, topics covered: Information coding and numeral systems. Mathematical logic. Algorithmization and programming.

Test 2: 20 January – 15 February 2017, test duration - 4 hours, about 8 problems, topics covered: Telecommunication technology. Multimedia technology. Operating Systems. Technologies  of information storage, search and sorting. Information processing in spreadsheets. Programming Technology.

Once the test period is over, and participants can review the correct responses, they have an opportunity to make an online appeal if their particular answer is not written in the standard format, and thus marked as incorrect. 

The winners of the qualifying round will be chosen based on the sum of points from the first and second test. These students will go on to the final round.

The final stage will be held on 11 March 2017, it will be made up of 11 problems from all topics listed above. Information about how the final stage will be conducted will be posted soon.

 

Mathematics

Qualifying round

Test 1: 5 January –15 February, test duration - 4 hours, about 10 problems, topics covered: rational and irrational inequalities, inequalities with absolute value, domain and range of a function; systems of equations, text problems, progression, plane and solid geometry, vectors, derivatives, extrema problems.

Test 2: 20 January – 15 February, test duration - 4 hours, topics covered: exponential, logarithm and mixed equations, systems of equations and inequalities (probably, with parameter), trigonometry, plane and solid geometry, derivatives, curve sketching.
